Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a quantitative feeding of ultrafine particles with a low cost apparatus by holding a raw material powder in an pressure vessel, by blowing out a gas spirally at the bottom of the vessel and by transporting the powder with a swirling stream of the gas. CONSTITUTION:A raw material powder 9 of a metal, an oxide, a nitride, a carbide, etc., is held in a pressure vessel 1, and a gas is blown spirally out of nozzles 8 attached to the tip of a gas supply pipe 6 into the lowest part of the vessel 1 so as to transport the powder with a swirling stream of the gas. A quantitative feeding of ultrafine particles of several score mum or smaller becomes possible with a low cost apparatus as a result.
