Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled feed composed mainly of euglena, having high nutritive value, excellent preservability and animal amino acid composition, by centrifuging cultured liquid of euglena, concentrating the collected cells and subjecting the concentrate e.g. to freeze-drying. CONSTITUTION:A cultured liquid of euglena is concentrated by centrifugal cell-collection or filtration and is subjected to freeze-drying, refrigeration or freeze-storage to obtain the objective feed composed mainly of euglena. The euglena is preferably enriched with a fish or shellfish oil rich in an omega-3 highly unsaturated fatty acid during the cultivation of euglena.
