Abstract

PURPOSE:To record an amplified low frequency converting chrominance signal and an FM modurating luminance signal and to correct the lowering of a chrominance signal level at a reproducing time, by detecting the level of a luminance signal and allowing the amplifying gain of an amplifying means to amplify the low frequency converting chrominance signal to be high in accordance the level of the luminance signal is lowered with responding to the detecting output. CONSTITUTION:A recorded NTSCTV signal is inputted to a BPF2 and an LPF6 and only the luminance signal is extracted by the LPF6. Then, the luminance signal is inputted to a luminance signal level detector 11 and a luminance signal record processing circuit 7. Only the chrominance signal is extracted by the BPF2 and inputted through a chrominance signal record processing circuit 3 to a variable gain amplifier 10. When the gain characteristic of this amplifier 10 and the luminance signal level of the detector 11 are in a synchronizing peak level, the level is obtained as +1.1dB and lowered in accordance the luminance level goes to be high. Then, when the level is in a white level, a gain goes to be 0. The gain of the chrominance signal is controlled by the luminance signal level detected by the detector 11 and the lowering of the chrominance signal level at the reproducing time is corrected at a recording time.
