Abstract
PURPOSE:To expand and display discharging and accurately measure it by applying an AC voltage to a body to be tested and causing the partial discharging, detecting a signal corresponding to pulses due to the discharging by a coupling capacitor and the AC voltage, and measuring it on a cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:When an AC power source AC applies the AC voltage to the body Ca to be tested, a charging current signal is inputted to a signal discriminator 1 through the coupling capacitor Ck and outputted as a synchronizing signal to a triangular wave generator 3 and a sine wave generator 4. When the partial discharging is caused, a partial discharging signal is applied to the 1st vertical deflecting electrode 5a of a CRT 5 through the signal discriminator 1 and a partial discharging measuring instrument 2. In this case, an amplitude value as the start voltage of the partial discharging applied to the body Ca is calculated from the ratio of the amplitude value of a track on the screen of the CRT 5 and a previously found amplitude value.
