Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the safety by molding the surroundings of the stacked dielectric layer and electrode layer with a synthetic resin and filling the inside thereof with an insulating gas to form a capacitor element, connecting a plurality of capacitor elements, placing the elements together in a sealed vessel, and filling it with a gas. CONSTITUTION:On a bobbin 2, two sets of metallized resin films made by depositing a metal such as aluminum becoming an electrode layer 4 on a synthetic resin film becoming a dielectric layer 3 are stacked and spirally wound by a predetermined number of times, and after connecting lead wires 5, 5 to the electrode layers 4, 4, this is set in the mold placed in a vacuum tank. Then, the vacuum tank is evacuated to about 10<-4>mmHg, and an air gap 7 produced between the stacked layer surfaces of a capacitor element 1 also becomes vacuum. Thereafter, an insulating gas is made to flow into the vacuum mold and pressurized, whereby the air gap 7 between the stacked layer surfaces is filled with the insulating gas. Thereafter, when the insulating gas is depressurized to the atmospheric pressure, the air gaps 7, 7... are filled with the insulating gas. Then, an uncured hardening resin is casted into the mold and the outer side of a capacitor element 1 is molded to form a molded object of epoxy resin, thereby completing the capacitor element.
