Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable execution of effective pilot injection even if an opening pressure is fluctuated due to a change with time, by a method wherein a threshold voltage is regulated in proportion to a voltage difference between a peak voltage during non-pilot injection and a reference peak voltage. CONSTITUTION:A peak voltage detecting means 4 of a control part 10 detects a peak voltage out of voltages generated to a pressure sensor 3a during non- pilot injection. A threshold voltage set means 6 sets a voltage difference between the peak voltage and a reference peak voltage decided from a running state by means of a reference peak voltage set means 5. A threshold voltage, by means of which a pilot injection timing is decided in proportion to the voltage difference, is regulated. Thus, when the opening voltage of an injection valve 19 is decreased due to a change with time, a reference peak voltage is corrected by means of a peak voltage decreased along with the decrease in the opening pressure, and the correction causes setting of a threshold voltage, resulting in the possibility to maintain effective pilot injection.
