Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce ornaments easily executable of working and in which the injury at the time of using is hard to occur by subjecting a precipitation hardening Ni based alloy having specific compsn. to a solution heat treatment under specific conditions and thereafter subjecting it to mechanical working and aging treatment and after that, executing finish polishing to said alloy. CONSTITUTION:The ingot of an alloy formed with, by weight, 45-60% Ni, 13-25% Cr, 2-4% Mo, 4-6.0% Nb+Ta, 0.4-1.5% Ti, 0.1-1.0% Al and the balance Fe is produced. Said ingot is subjected to a solution heat treatment in such a manner that it is heated for prescribed times at 900-1,100 deg.C and is rapidly cooled. Mechanical working is executed to the ingot to form an ornamental-shaped starting material Said starting material is heated for >=3hr at 600-750 deg.C and is thereafter subjected to finish polishing. By this method, the decorations having excellent workability at the time of producing, having sufficient hardness when they are formed to products and in which the generation of surface injury following their using is hard to occur can be obtd.
