Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately detect the depth of an iron tapping hole and to reduce abnormal iron tapping by finding the temp. distribution toward the depth direction in the iron tapping hole by plural temp. detecting means arranged at different positions to the depth direction in the iron tapping hole during closing. CONSTITUTION:In inner part of the iron tapping hole 1 in a blast furnace, for example, four pieces of thermocouples 2a-2d are inserted at the intervals of 500mm and temp. signals from these sensors are led to a temp. recorder 3. Correction diagrams between depth D of the iron tapping hole, depth (d) of the thermocouples setting and temp. can be obtd. from the past data. Therefore, after catching the such actual data, by detecting the temp. from each thermocouple 2a-2d, for estimated results for the depths of iron tapping holes are obtd. In this case, as there are some errors caused by rapid variation of temp. in the furnace, ununiformity of mud, etc., by averaging repeated results for depth of the iron tapping hole obtd., the true depth of each iron tapping hole is estimated.
