Abstract

PURPOSE:To set an optimum printing start position automatically by providing a printing surface detection circuit, a table drive circuit and a printing part drive circuit, and connecting these circuits to a microcomputer centering around CPU equipped with an input/output circuit and an input capture circuit. CONSTITUTION:A control pulse 15 is transmitted to a table drive circuit 5 from an input/output circuit 9 of a control circuit part 3, and the end of a printing surface of an object to be printed is detected by a position sensor 1 by first moving a receiving table 7 for the object to be printed to a direction X. Then the existing position of the detected end of the printing surface is designated as an original point in the direction X. Simultaneously, this detection signal is supplied to a printing surface detection circuit 2, and matched in terms of signal level by the printing surface detection circuit 2. After this, the detection signal is input as a printing surface count start signal to an end detector 11 of a control circuit part 3. Consequently, a timer circuit 10 starts counting, and an input capture circuit 13 counts the number of pulses between a time of starting the count and the end of a printing surface. Then the printing start position is controlled by means of a count value held by the input capture circuit 13.
