Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the start of the titled camera without a malfunction at the time of the output of a video signal for any subject by providing a slice circuit to equalize the level of the lower edge part of a synchronizing signal superimposed to the video signal at the front stage of a synchronization separating signal. CONSTITUTION:A superimposed signal, in which synchronization is superimposed to the video signal to be the output of a video circuit 8, is inputted to a slice circuit 4, and in order to equalize the level of each lower edge part of the input signal, a slice action is performed, and an output is inputted to a synchronization separating circuit 5. Since the level of the lower edge parts of the synchronizing signals are all even in the synchronization separating circuit 5, the synchronizing signal can be separated without fail. The synchronizing signal separated by the synchronization separating circuit 5 is added to a driving circuit 7, and the driving circuit 7 drives a CCD 6, which is the image-pick-up element, in synchronization with the given synchronizing signal. Thus, the video signal to be the output signal of an image-pick-up circuit 8 synchronizes with the synchronizing signal added from an outside (a control part 2).
