Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the slightly immersed state of a dispensing nozzle tip without using a liquid level sensor by maintaining a reagent replenishing chamber in a hermetic state and communicating the replenishing chamber with a drawing chamber. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-tight plug 7 is press-fitted into a small hole passage 6 and a prescribed volume of a reagent S for replenishment is filled in the replenishing chamber 3 of a reagent vessel 1. While the vessel 1 is held horizontal, the plug 7 is removed and the reagent S in the replenishing chamber 3 is discharged through the passage 6 to the drawing chamber 4 side. The effect of a 'a chick's waterer' acts and the outflow of the reagent S from the chamber 3 stops when the reagent S accumulates in the drawing chamber 4 to the height at which the liquid surface closes the passages 6. The reagent S of the decreased component is then replenished from the chamber 3 through the passage 6 into the chamber 4 on lowering of the liquid level when the reagent S' for the normal use component in the chamber 4 is decreased by the reagent drawing operation. The reagent liquid level in the chamber 4 is thus maintained always at the specified height. The slightly immersed state of the nozzle N is thus obtd. at all times without using the liquid level sensor by previously setting the tip descending position of the dispensing nozzle N at the position where the nozzle tip is slightly immersed in the reagent liquid surface.
