Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a probe whose short distance dead zone is reduced by separating the probe to a transmission probe and a reception probe, and assembling them in a tire. CONSTITUTION:The tire 10 is loaded on a wheel 20, and the wheel 20 is supported rotatably freely with a shaft body 30 via a bearing part 20. A split type probe 40 and a variable angle mechanism 50, etc., are supported by a supporting part 32 provided at the tip part of the shaft body 30. The probe 40 is constituted in such a way that a transmission side oscillator 41 and a reception side oscillator 42 are provided in a case 43 by separating them acoustically and a shielding plate 60 is fitted in a notch part 44 provided at the boundary part of the oscillators 41 and 42 and the direct incidence of a transmission pulse to the oscillator 42 is prevented from being generated. The probe 40 supports the oscillators 41 and 42 rotatably freely by making them confront with a side of material to be tested, and electrical connection to the outside is performed by a cable 45. Also, the variable angle mechanism 50 displaces the angle of the probe 40 by rotating an angle adjusting shaft 51. Thus, since reception can be performed independently from transmission, it is possible to perform the reception immediately after an incident time when the oscillator 42 is set at a receivable state even when the reverberation of an ultrasonic wave pulse exists, which eliminates the dead zone due to the reverberation.
