Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain a tight bundling without exerting an excessive tensional force by providing guide rollers at given three places for pulling back the wire with respect to a first guide groove of a wire feed guide ring and connecting guide roller supporting arms with an actuator for drawing back the rollers. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a first guide groove 12 of a wire guide ring 10, a first guide roller 21 is located at the circumference of the guide ring 10 angularly at 90 deg. with reference to the center of a wire twist head 5', a second roller 22 on the side of the guide ring 10 angularly at about 90 deg. and a third roller 23 in a position adjacent the wire twist head 5', and these rollers are supported on supporting arms 17, 26 and 34, respectively. At the time of winding wire 40 around the content to be bundled, a first turn of the wire is receivably supported by each of the aforesaid rollers and the content is first wound with a second turn of the wire. By the tightening action of the wire 40, the roller 21 is first moved out of action region, followed by the wire 22 and then the wire 23, with the wire disengaged from the content, thereby effecting winding with the first turn of the wire.
