Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to properly remove geomagnetic noises at all times, by arranging the compensation volume to be automatically variable in accordance with the directional shift or displacement of two axes among the three of a detecting apparatus even when the direction of the two axes is not determined. CONSTITUTION:A magnetism detector 1 for use in measurement has detecting coils SCX-SCZ for X-Z axes and their compensating coils CCX-CCZ. For example, the detector 1 has its Z axis set to be vertical. Another magnetism detector 2 for use in compensation has signal detecting coils SCX-SCZ for X- axes which detector is set, for example, with its Z axis, to be vertical. A controller 5 calculates displaced or shifted angles from a predetermined position of each of the coils SCX and SCY based on respective outputs. An output from the detector 2 is amplified by an amplifier 4. Thereafter, a Z axis output Zn is inputted from the amplifier 4 directly to the Z axis compensating coil CCZ of the detector 1, while an amplified X axis output Xn and an amplified Y axis output Yn are inputted to D/A converters 6 and 8, and 7 and 9, respectively. Each of the outputs Xn and Yn is multiplied with a coefficient component inputted from the controller 5 in the D/A converters 6-9, and then added in adders 10 and 11 to be inputted to the compensating coils CCX and CCY, respectively. Thus, it becomes possible always to remove the geomagnetism noises properly.
