Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the measuring accuracy of a semiconductor position detecting sensor, by integrating electric signals corresponding to bright points obtained from the electrodes of the sensor respectively or integrating the difference and sum of these signals respectively. CONSTITUTION:An integrator 7 integrates signals IA and IB obtained from the respective counterelectrodes of a semiconductor or the difference between these signals (IA-IB) and the sum of these signals (IA+IB) and continues the integration until the sum of respectively integrated signals or the value obtained by integrating the sum of signals reaches a fixed value and a divider 6 operates a signals X for the coordinate value of a bright point position by using the signals at the time when the value has reached a fixed value or a point of time after the time, maintaining the denominator inputted to the divider within a low operation error independently of the change of the quantity of incident light. Thus, measuring errors can be remarkably reduced.
