Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a bearing part and a rotary shaft and the measuring accuracy of a flowmeter, by providing an oil sump part for storing a lubricant to the deep part of a bearing member. CONSTITUTION:When a fluid flows through the flow passage in a flowmeter main body 2 from below to above the fluid passes while rotates the blades of a blade wheel 11. The leading end 12a of the pivot 12 of the blade wheel 11 slides with a receiving bottom 19a to form a meniscus 23. The lubricant of an oil sump chamber 24 is supplied to the receiving bottom 19a by a small amount by the capillary phenomenon of a communication hole 19b. Therefore, the leading end part 12a of the pivot 12 rotates smoothly and stably in the state brought into contact with the meniscus 23 of the lubricant formed to the receiving bottom 19a. When the lubricant is reduced and the meniscus becomes small, the lubricant in the oil sump chamber 24 is supplied to the receiving bottom 19a by a small amount through the communication hole 19b until the surface tension of the meniscus 23 is well-balanced with the head of a fine tube 26. By this method, not only the durability of the bearing part and the rotary shaft but also the measuring accuracy of the flowmeter can be enhanced.
