Abstract

PURPOSE:To feed only a desired medium and enable cut papers and a continuous business form to be selectively used, by designating either the cut papers or the continuous business form as a printing medium by a medium switching means, and feeding only the designated printing medium. CONSTITUTION:Each of feeding means feeds either cut papers 18 or a continuous business form 12 to which a printing medium is switched by a setting lever 22 provided as a means for switching to either the cut papers 18 or the continuous business form 12. At the time of using the cut papers 18, the continuous business form 12 is retracted from a printing part, and is stopped by a means at such a position that it can be again fed. Thus, at the time of using the cut papers, the continuous business form 12 is retracted from the printing part so that only the cut papers are fed, whereas at the time of using the continuous business form, the continuous business form 12 having been retracted is again fed. Both the cut papers 18 and the continuous business form 12 are discharged through a common discharging port 7 provided in a main body, and the cut papers 18 are stacked on a stacker 20 provided as a common stacking means, whereas the continuous business form 12 is fed past the stacker 20 to be stacked in a folded state on the lower side of the stacker 20. After printing, the cut papers 18 and the continuous business form 12 are fed in straight form, without any curvature in the printing medium due to branch feeding.
