PURPOSE:To make the paper discharge mechanism of folding machine quite compact by arranging a paper discharge belt at the lower section of impeller to be perpendicular against the feeding direction of folded book between the folding drum and impeller. CONSTITUTION:The folded book completed of cutting and folding through folding drum group, cutter drum, plunge drum and biting drum 9 is fed through a carry tape 13 to an impeller 4 if the deflector lever 2 is in upper position then the position is limited by a fixed stopper 11 and a paper guide 12 to be fallen onto the paper discharge belt 6. If said lever 2 is in lowr position, it is fed through the carry tape 13 over the impeller 3 and fallen onto the paper discharge belt 5.
