Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rotary machine of a rotary press.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, most commercial prints such as newspaper leaflets and magazine cutouts have been printed mostly on web offset presses in order to meet short delivery times and high quality. These printed materials generally use B row paper, and in the case of flyer printing, a folded bi-fold signature, that is, a B4 size 4-page signature, is ejected, and the magazine's mouthpiece. In the case of printing, etc., a signature that is further folded in half and folded into four, that is, a B5 size 8-page signature is discharged.
FIGS. 7 and 8 are perspective views showing the most standard B-rotary commercial web offset presses conventionally used for this type of printing.
[0003]
In these rotary presses, the full width continuous paper W printed by a printing section (not shown) is vertically halved at the center of the paper width along the paper flow direction by the slitter 2 disposed at the entrance of the folding machine. The continuous papers Wa and Wb that have been cut and then half-width proceed in the direction of the arrows, respectively, and enter the cutting / folding part of the folding machine in two rows.
The cutting / folding portion of the folding machine shown in FIG. 7 is a known three-cylinder type constituted by a saw cylinder 31, a folding cylinder 32, and a holding cylinder 33. Further, the cutting / folding portion of the folding machine shown in FIG. 8 is a known two-cylinder type constituted by a folding cylinder 42 with a saw blade and a holding cylinder 43. The surface lengths of the cylinders of these cutting / folding parts are both double-width, and the half-width continuous papers Wa and Wb which are entered in two rows on the same surface are simultaneously saw cylinder 31 and folding cylinder. 32 or between the folding cylinder 42 with a saw blade and the holding cylinder 43, and is cut to a predetermined size, that is, a B3 length, and then between the folding cylinder 32 and the holding cylinder 33 or between the folding cylinder 42 with a saw blade and the holding cylinder 43. The sheet is folded in half in parallel to the cutting line and folded in half to a size of 4 pages of B4 size. Each of the folded signatures Sa and Sb is conveyed at a constant pitch one by one, and is discharged from the discharge conveyor 38 through the impeller 37 into two rows.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, in the conventional commercial rotary press, the surface length of each cylinder is doubled, and the signatures Sa and Sb formed by the cutting / folding portions are arranged in two rows one by one. Since the paper is discharged from the paper discharge conveyor 38, there are the following problems.
(1) Since the frame interval of the folding machine is wide and the surface length of each cylinder and rollers is long, there are some parts that are difficult to maintain and inspect the machine, and it is difficult to further increase the machine rigidity. I could not expect further speedup.
(2) Since the signatures Sa and Sb are ejected out of the machine in two rows from the delivery conveyor, two lines of post-processing equipment such as a stacker, packaging and binding machine are required, and a total including the rotary press The capital investment cost increased and a large installation space was required.
(3) Since the two-fold signatures Sa and Sb formed at the cutting / folding part are conveyed one by one, the paper discharge is more likely to be disturbed at higher speeds for lightweight paper, and the operation speed is reduced. I had to.
[0005]
Accordingly, the present invention solves the above-described problems, enables one-line ejection of signatures by a half-width folding machine, is economical, has good workability, and can cope with space saving and high speed. The purpose is to provide a folding machine.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the rotary machine of the rotary press according to the present invention longitudinally cuts the center of the continuous paper in the width direction along the running direction, and cuts the half-width continuous paper into a predetermined length. In the rotary machine of the rotary press that folds in half parallel to the cutting line and discharges the signature, two sets of cutting and folding means having a size corresponding to the half-width continuous paper are arranged in the upper and lower stages, A signature stacking means is provided between these two sets of cutting / folding means, a signature is formed by the cutting / folding means, and the signature is overlapped by the signature stacking means and sent out. doing.
As the cutting / folding means, for example, a three-cylinder type including a saw cylinder, a folding cylinder and a holding cylinder can be adopted, while a two-cylinder cutting / folding means including a folding cylinder with a saw and a holding cylinder is adopted. Folding means can also be employed. When a two-cylinder cutting / folding means is employed, a saw cylinder is not required, and the structure is compact.
The signature stacking means is for overlapping and discharging two signatures discharged from the upper and lower cutting / folding means. The signature stacking means can be composed of a transfer cylinder and a paper guide device. It is preferable that the transfer cylinder is disposed adjacent to the upper holding cylinder and the lower holding cylinder and rotates at the same diameter and speed as these holding cylinders. The paper guide device is preferably configured such that two signatures fed from the upper and lower holding cylinders overlap each other on the outer peripheral surface of the transfer cylinder.
[0007]
Further, in the rotary machine of the rotary press according to the present invention, the signature stacking means includes a transfer cylinder and a paper guide device, and the transfer cylinder is rotationally driven at a constant speed with each cylinder of the cutting / folding means, The paper guide device conveys the signatures formed by the upper and lower trimming / folding means so as to overlap each other on the outer peripheral surface of the delivery cylinder, and delivers it to the conveyor belt of the paper ejection means. It is composed.
The paper discharge means conveys the overlapping signatures discharged from the signature stacking means and discharges them outside the apparatus. The paper discharge means preferably includes upper and lower conveyor belts, an impeller, and a paper discharge conveyor for conveying the stacked signatures discharged from the transfer cylinder.
As described above, the rotary machine of the rotary press according to the present invention has a size corresponding to one row of half-width continuous paper, and has a size corresponding to two rows of half-width continuous paper. Compared to the above, since the frame interval is narrow and the surface length of each cylinder and rollers is short, the mechanical rigidity becomes high, the rotary press can be stably operated at high speed, and the maintenance and inspection of the machine becomes easy.
In addition, the folding machine according to the present invention is ejected in a row with two copies of the signatures overlapped, so that the folding machine is ejected in two rows of the signatures one by one. In addition, a single line of post-processing equipment such as a stacker, packaging / bundling machine, and the like, installation space for the folding machine and post-processing equipment, running cost, and overall capital investment can be reduced.
