Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the titled compound optical system device by providing a dichroic beam splitter at right angles to the optical axis of a converging optical system and arranging a photodetector in a light shield area. CONSTITUTION:The dichroic beam splitter 5 is arranged in the optical path of convergent light between the focus position 15 of the converging optical system 3 and a 2nd reflecting mirror 2 at right angles to the optical axis of the converging optical system 3. Further, the photodetector 8b which detects light 6b with a 2nd wavelength band reflected by the dichroic beam splitter 5 is installed in the light shield area 16 formed in the converging optical system 3 by intercepting incident light to a 1st reflecting mirror 1 by the 2nd reflecting mirror 2. The photodetector 8b is therefore coaxial with the optical axis and the light shield area 16 is also coaxial, so even when the photodetector 8b is installed coaxially with the optical axis, the quantity of the incident light 4 is not spoiled. Consequently, the device is reduced in size on the whole.
