Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a composite panel which exhibits excellent absorbing effect in frequencies of wide range by laminating a layer containing carbon fiber or carbon bead in sand and cement mixture, and a layer containing ferrite powder. CONSTITUTION:In a 2-layer concrete panel, carbon fiber and carbon bead are contained in a first layer on which a metal plate is bonded on its rear face, and ferrite powder is contained in a second layer. The ferrite powder may be of powder normally sold in a market. The carbon fiber may be of normal carbon fiber, and may employ that having 5-30mum of diameter and 0.3-15mm of length. The bead employ lumped carbon formed generally by adding binder to spherical carbon particles or powder carbon having 50-1500mum of particle size and lumping it in particle size of 50-1500mum. This radio wave absorber is effective for radio waves having wavelengths of wide range, and particularly effective for radio waves for television waves, i.e., VHF, UHF bands.
