Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption by providing a first control section for converging the low pressure side refrigerant pressure between first and second set levels, and a second control section for increasing the output frequency at a constant rate it a third set level is exceeded. CONSTITUTION: When the cooling load is low, i.e., the temperature of a matter to be cooled is 4 deg.C or below, a switching element 15 receiving an output signal from a temperature detecting section 14 connects a first control section 6 selectively with an inverter 5.
