Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the temp. of cooling objects from rising with saved energy to maintain the freshness by adjusting the set value of a reference operation intake pressure according to the ambient temp. around the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: An inverter-controlled refrigerator comprises an intake pressure sensor 11 for detecting the intake pressure of a compressor 1 varying according to the load and controller 8 which outputs an operating frequency signal to an inverter 7 from the relation between a set reference operation intake pressure and detected intake pressure to operate the compressor 1 at a capacity suited to the load. The reference operation intake pressure is set low and high to increase and decrease the operating capacity when the ambient temp. around the evaporator 5 is high and low, respectively. This prevents the temp. of cooling objects from rising with saved energy to maintain the freshness.
