Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable execution of comfortable heating operation and to improve a heating effect, by a method wherein, when a difference between high and low temperatures in a room to be air-conditioned exceeds a given value during heating operation, capacity of a capacity control compressor is repeatedly changed in a given range at intervals of a given time. CONSTITUTION:During heating operation, high temperature high pressure gas discharged from an inverter compressor 1 is fed from a 4-way valve 2 to an indoor unit 8 through a connection piping 12b and is radiated and condensed by means of a heat exchanger 9 on the indoor side to perform heating. The gas is fed to an outdoor unit 7 through a check valve 11 and a connection piping 12a, and the heat thereof is absorbed the gas is vaporized by means of a heat exchanger 3 on the outdoor side the pressure of which is reduced by means of a pressure reducing device 4 for heating. The gas is circulated to the inverter compressor 1 through the 4-way valve 2 and an accumulator 6.
