Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a capacitor element, a molding layer on an outer circumference of which is difficult to be broken even when gas pressure in the element rises and which is hardly shocked even when the molding layer is broken, by forming the molding layer in the gas filled type capacitor element by a flame- retardant synthetic resin having flexibility. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric layers 1 and electrode layers 2 are alternately laminated spirally, a molding layer 3 composed of a synthetic resin is shaped onto the outer circumferential section of the dielectric layers 1 and the electrode layers 2 laminated, and an insulating gas is sealed into air gap sections 4 formed among the dielectric layers 1 and the electrode layers 2. The molding layer 3 is formed by the flame-retardant synthetic resin having flexibility. The upper and lower positions of the electrode layers 2 are displaced alternately, electrode plates 5, 5' are connected to upper and lower surfaces, leads 6, 6' are connected to the electrode plates 5, 5', and the leads 6, 6' are led out to the outside of the molding layer 3. Accordingly, a capacitor element, into the molding layer 3 of which the insulating gas is sealed, is acquired.
