Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture capacitors characterized by high reliability and excellent quality at a high yield rate, by connecting a plurality of capacitor elements, which are formed by molding laminated dielectric layers and electrode layers with first synthetic resin, and molding the capacitor elements all together with second synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric layers 3 and electrode layers 4 are alternately laminated in spiral pattern. The surrounding parts of the laminated dielectric layers and electrode layers 4 are molded with first synthetic resin 8. Thus, a capacitor element 1 is formed. A plurality of the capacitor elements 1 are connected. The capacitor elements 1 are molded all together with second synthetic resin. For example, the void part formed in each capacitor element is filled or sealed with the synthetic resin or insulating gas. Thus the electric characteristics of each capacitor element can be checked and measured one by one before the molding with the second synthetic resin. The non-defective products and the defective products can be selected. Therefore, material loss is decreased and the highly reliable capacitor having excellent quality are obtained.
