Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the operation while enhancing the performance by an arrangement wherein impurity gas being fed from the outside of a thermally insulated vacuum container is taken out from a first stage heat exchanger through a gas-liquid separation filter, a first stage adsorber, a second stage heat exchanger and a second stage adsorber. CONSTITUTION: First and second stage heat exchangers 2, 2a and the G-M refrigerating machine 8 of a cold storage He refrigerating machine are enclosed in a thermally insulated vacuum container 10. The first stage thermal load flange 9 of the G-M refrigerating machine 8 is provided with a gas-liquid separation filter and a first stage adsorber 4 while the second stage thermal load flange 9 is provided with a second stage adsorber 5. Impurity gas being fed from the outside of the thermally insulated vacuum container 10 is taken out from the first stage heat exchanger 2 through the gas-liquid separation filter 3, the first stage adsorber 4, the second stage heat exchanger 2a and the second stage adsorber 5. Since an He refrigerating machine us employed for cooling, the adsorbers 4, 5 can be set below the liquid nitrogen temperature and high performance operation is ensured even when the gas pressure is lower than 10 kg/cm<2> . Operation can be simplified because liquid nitrogen is not used.
