Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxyalkyl or haloalkyl; X is H or halogen). USE:Herbicide. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting an indazole derivative of formula II (e.g., 1-ethyl-6-amino-indazole, etc.) with a compound of formula R-Y (Y is I, Br, Cl, methanesulfonyl or toluenesulfonyl) usually in a solvent such as hexane, benzene or THF in the presence of a base (e.g., sodium hydroxide) preferably at 0-100 deg.C for 0.5-3hr. The amounts of the compound of formula R-Y and the base are preferably 1.0-1.2 equivalent and 1.0-1.5 equivalent per 1 equivalent of the compound of formula II, respectively.
