NEW MATERIAL:An N-substituted bisanilinodisulfide derivative of formula I (R is 1W4C alkyl).
EXAMPLE: 2,2'-Bis(methoxycarbonylthioureidophenyl)disulfide.
USE: Useful as a fungicide for agricultural and horticultural use, intermediate of various pesticides, rubber additive and its intermediate, and intermediate of various industrial chemicals.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting 2,2'-bisanilinodisulfide of formula II with alkyl isothiocyanatoformate of formula III in an inert solvent at 0W80°C for 3W4hr.
