Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable various inspections by commonly using a piece of probe while cleaning the same at the time of dispensing samples and reagents. CONSTITUTION:The common probe 23 is positioned over the sample 4' on a sample cassette 3 by swiveling a dispensing arm 22 and the sample is sucked by vertically moving the probe 23. The arm 22 is then swiveled to set the probe 23 over the reaction cell in the dispensing position C of a reaction desk 1 and the required volume of the sucked sample is dispensed into the reaction cell. The probe 23 is thereafter positioned over a common cleaning pool 24 where the probe 23 is lowered and the inside and outside walls thereof are cleaned. The probe 23 after the cleaning is swiveled to the position 6' above a reagent cassette 5 where a 1st reagent 6a is sucked. After the reagent 6a is dispensed into the reaction cell into which the sample is dispensed in the position D of the desk, the probe 23 is similarly cleaned. The probe is further swiveled to the position 6' on the cassette 5 and the 2nd reagent 6b previously moved to the position 6' is sucked. The reagent 6b is dispensed into the reaction cell into which the reagent 6a is dispensed in the position D. The various tests are thus enabled.
