Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to selectively set an arbitrary measuring item and to obtain highly reliable measured data quickly by simultaneously measuring reaction liquid in a plurality of reaction measuring tubes supported on one cassette by an optical measuring device with regard to many measuring items. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is provided with the following device: A device for carrying the cassette, which supports a plurality of sample cups wherein specimens are enclosed, to the positions said specimens are sucked; the device P which carries the sucked specimens and reagent to a plurality of the reaction measuring tubes supported by a cassette 52; the optical measuring device M1 which performs preliminary quantitative analysis of the reactive liquid in the measuring tubes; a primary quantitative analysis carrying path 67, on which the reagent and the like are injected into the measuring tubes whose analysis is finished, and the liquid is stirred by using device K; the optical measuring device M2 which performs the primary quantitative analysis of the reacting liquid; a device which positions the cassette 52 at specified location of the devices M1 and M2; a device W which washes the measuring tubes whose primary quantitative analysis are finished; and device D which processes the data of the values of the preliminary and primary quantitative analysis. Thus, the chemical analysis for many items of one specimen can be simultaneously performed.
