Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out the setting of a machining condition and machining control automatically and easily by specifying a board thickness, the diameter of a using wire electrode, and a required machining surface roughness, and retrieving a proper machining condition from a machining hysteresis memory device to give a machining command. CONSTITUTION:The machining of a wire-cut electric discharge machine 1 is started under a machining condition elected by an automatic machining condition selecting device 3 and, while machining, a machining control device 15 adjusts the machining condition and regulates a feeding speed as necessary by calling information which has the possibility of affecting machining from a course program analysis device 13 through a program course and information in the past from a machining hysteresis memory device 11, in addition to information on the condition of machining from a monitor device 7. And, the adjusted machining condition is selectively housed in the machining hysteresis memory device 11 while considering the condition of machining. Thus, by merely inputting the board thickness of a workpiece, the diameter of a wire electrode, and the required machining surface roughness by an operator, the setting of the machining condition and machining control can be carried out automatically and easily.
