Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the self-discharge and a decrease of capacity during a long preservation by burying a resin with a specific water-repellent property to the connection of electrode poles which connects neighboring cells in series, of the poles connected to straps which connect the lugs of the electrode plates in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The connection 8 of an electrode pole 4 and an electrode pole 5 which connects neighboring cells in series, of poles 4 and 5 connected to straps 3 which connect the lugs of electrode plates 1 and 2, is buried in a resin 7 whose critical surface tension is less than 73dyne/cm<2>. Since the surface tension of water is 73dyne/cm<2>, the water hardly wets the surface of the resin whose critical surface tension is less than 73dyne/cm<2>.
