Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent falling off of a pigment and to improve fluidity and blocking resistance of a toner by forming a microencapsulated pigment layer on an external peripheral surface of a core body of spherical resin and forming a layer of microencapsulated charge controlling resin film by adhering resin powder to the external peripheral surface of the pigment layer. CONSTITUTION:A toner is constituted of core bodies 1 of spherical resin, a pigment layer 2 formed on the external periphery of the core member 1, and a layer 3 of a charge controlling resin film formed on the external periphery of the pigment layer 2. The core bodies 1 are mixed with the pigment in dry state and stirred. In this stage, the pigment is attracted to the core bodies 1 by the frictional electric charge generated on the core bodies 1 and transformed to laminar microcapsules by collision or impact forming thus a pigment layer 2 on the external periphery of the core bodies 1 of the spherical resin. Then, a layer 3 of charge controlling resin film is formed on the external periphery of the pigment layer 2 by forming microcapsules after adhering charge controlling resin powder 5 to the external periphery of the resin layer 2. By this constitution, falling off of a toner from a pigment is prevented, and the fluidity and the blocking resistance of the toner are improved.
