Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the conversion of a fine plastic powder into a pigment, electrical characteristics, magnetic characteristics, etc., by microencapsulating the fine plastic powder in a fine metallic oxide or composite metallic oxide powder.
CONSTITUTION: A fine plastic powder, e.g. polyamide, is stirred with sintered balls of a metallic oxide or composite metallic oxide by the wet method, and the fine metallic oxide or composite metallic oxide particles having a particle diameter on the order of 0.1μm are ground and peeled by the collision between the sintered balls. The resultant fine particles are directly adhered to coat the surface of the fine plastic powder by the surface energy of the peeled fine metallic oxide particles firmly and uniformly.
USE: Useful for preparing pigments, raw material bases for cosmetics, etc.
