Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the interference of a gas feeding nozzle with a work and jig by providing the work gas feeding nozzle rotating the circumference of a laser beam machining head and also arranging via a controller before and behind the progressing direction of the work head. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle holder 11 is arranged at the lower end part of a laser work head 1, one end thereof is communicated with a work gas feeding line 3 and the other end is connected to a work gas feeding nozzle 12. In this case, the nozzle holder 11 is provided freely rotatably around the work head 1 by a controller 14 via a rotary driving motor 13 and gear device 16. In case of executing laser beam machining, the work gas is injected to a molten pool from the nozzle 12 via a gas passage 11a. At this time the controller 14 turns the holder 11 so that the nozzle 12 is located before and behind the progressing direction of the head 1 at all times. Consequently the interference of the nozzle 12 with a work 4 and jig is prevented.
