Abstract
PURPOSE:To make temp.s of a flange part and web part to be nearly equal after rolling by providing a surface temp. measuring devices in front and in rear of an intermediate finishing mill and a finishing mill, forced cooling devices in front and in rear of the intermediate finishing mill and in front of the finishing mill. CONSTITUTION:After heating a raw steel bloom 4 through a heating furnace 5, a rough rolling is performed by a break down mill 6, then, caliber rollings are advanced along the rolling line 12. That is to say, by the roughing-down mill 7, the intermediate finishing mill 8 and the finishing mill, the rough steel bloom 4 is formed into an angle steel. In this case, in front of the intermediate finishing mill 8, temp.s of the parts corresponding to the flange part 2 and web 3 of the steel bloom 4 are measured and based on these values, an estimated temp. drop is judged. Based on it, an amount of cooling wafer is sprayed on upper and lower surfaces of the flange part by the forced cooling device 11 to cool by force.
