CONSTITUTION: In the manufacture of a product made of age hardening alloy such as Be-Cr alloy plated with Ni, Cr, Au or the like, the alloy is plated or clad beforehand. It is then subjected to soln. heat treatment by heating to a specified temp. and quenching, and finish rolling and mill hardening are carried out. Au plating or other treatment may be performed after the finish rolling and before the hardening. Since no oxide film is formed in the soln. heat treatment, no problem occurs in pickling, and the surface roughness of the alloy and the accuracy in plate thickness are enhanced. In addition, a rolling mill roll undergoes less wear because the formation of oxide on the surface is prevented.
