The range S of leakage of magnetic flux in the core broadwise direction is reduced at the recording by the core 20 and the leaked magnetic flux from the core side is tilted as shown by the arrow. Thus, the adjacent track is difficult to pick up the leaked magnetic flux at recording and the core picks up the information of the adjacent track obliquely at reproduction and the picked-up quantity is less, then crosstalk is reduced and the track pitch density is improved.
