Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of crosstalk and achieve the improvement of track density and reliability by integrally bonding magnetic material and non- magnetic material to form a slider, providing gaps between its magnetic material side track rail part and core. CONSTITUTION:The head is so constituted that its slider part comprises integral bonding of magnetic material 14 such as ferrite or other and non-magnetic material 15, wherein a core 16 is secured to the magnetic material 14 side via gaps 1', 6'. The boundary face 17 of the magnetic material and non-magnetic material is provided in the position where the track rail 18 is bisected in its width direction. The track rail 18 assuming one raised streak is formed by the track rail parts 18a, 18b of the magnetic material and non-magnetic material. Further, a tapered face 18c for sizing of the front gap 1' is formed on the magnetic material rail 18a side, but no taper is given to the non-magnetic material rail 18b side. This enables the crosstalk between adjoining tracks to be considerably reduced and reliability to be improved.
