Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the recording with high accuracy of track width and high track density, by enclosing the three directions of a magnetic material of one side that forms a gap with other magnetic naterials via a nonmagnetic conductive filler. CONSTITUTION:A channel-shaped hollow groove having width T' is formed at the part near the medium opposite face of a lower magnetic material 2 attached on a base board 1, and an upper magnetic material 3 is provided at the center part of the groove with a slight gap. Then a nonmagnetic conductive filler 4 is filled into the gap, and a gap G formed by magnetic materials 2 and 3 is used as a magnetic recording/reproducing gap; while gaps G' and G'' across the gap G are used for the tunnel erasing gaps at the edge part respectively. As a result, the tunnel erasing effect is secured at both sides of a track. Thus a magnetic head is obtained with no effect of the crosstalk given from the adjacent track and high resistance to noise.
