Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain solar control glass having high heat ray reflecting performance, high transmittance and high durability by forming a five-layered thin film consisting of specified compds. on the surface of a glass plate. CONSTITUTION:A tin oxide layer 2 as a first layer, a layer 3 having low light absorbency as a second layer, a titanium nitride layer 4 as a third layer, a layer 5 having low light absorbency as a fourth layer and a tin oxide layer 6 as a fifth layer are successively laminated on the surface of a glass plate 1 to obtain solar control glass having >=70% average visible light transmissivity. The layers 3, 5 having low light absorbency as the second and fourth layers are made of titanium oxide, aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide or chromium oxide.
