Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately detect the charge period of a battery and to prevent the shortening of the life of the battery due to over-discharge, by changing over battery-absence detection voltage between during image forming operation and during non-operation when the charge period of a secondary battery is detected. CONSTITUTION:The inputs P0, P1 of a microcomputer 101 are connected to the output terminals of comparators 106, 107, and battery voltage and stable voltage are inputted to the input terminals of the comparators 106, 107.
