Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to charge a battery for back-up with voltage operating a system by supplying specific voltage to every block. CONSTITUTION:DC power supply of the voltage Vcc of a power circuit 1 is supplied to a telephone set 14, a power failure detection circuit 10 switches a change-over switch 11 to a terminal (b) and the batteries 2 and 3 are put in a state of parallel connection, and DC power supply is applied to both. In the time of charging, Zener voltage of Zener diodes 6 and 7 is determined so that the voltage higher than 1/2 of the voltage Vcc operating the telephone set 14 is applied to the batteries 2 and 3, and it can be sufficiently charged with the voltage Vcc of the power circuit 1. When the power failure detection circuit 10 detects the fall of output voltage Vcc due to power failure and so forth at this state, the change-over switch 11 is connected to a terminal (a) to connect the batteries 2 and 3.
