Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a DC loop detecting circuit in common for detection of an AC received signal, by providing a logical circuit that is put in series into a telephone set and responds to both the DC loop current and the call AC signal. CONSTITUTION:In the queuing mode of a telephone, a paired photocouplers 20 put in series between a circuit terminal 10 and a telephone terminal 11 is turned off. At the same time, the output of an AND circuit 22 is set at H, and a flip-flop FF26 is set with an AND gate 27 opened. When a call AC signal is supplied, the photocouplers 20 produce the ON output with every half wave. Thus the intermittent oultputs of H and L are produced at the output of an inverter 23 to be delivered to a detection terminal 29. When the telephone receiver is picked up, either one of the photocouplers 20 is turned on to set the output of the inverter 23. This voltage charges a time constant 25, and thus the FF26 is reset. Thus the voltage is delivered to a terminal 28 in the form of a DC loop detection signal.
