Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at compactness of an entire packing machine and facilitate positioning of sensitive portions by detecting a plurality of sensitive portions provided around the periphery of a disc plate in sequence by a sensor and by supplying drive control signals to the driving circuits of a cam shaft motor and a motor connected to a roller. CONSTITUTION:A disc plate 70 is keyed to a cam shaft 4 and provided with slits 71-75 as sensitive portion around the periphery thereof at a predetermined interval. The slit 71 produces an original position signal of a press member or the like upon receiving two sources of light, the slit 72 a reverse rotation signal for detecting the completion of a secure grip of the end of a band and tightening the same, the slit 73 a relief signal for deenergizing a solenoid 55 and bringing a roller 54 out of contact with a tension roller 51, the slit 74 an intermediate stopping signal to hold the rotation of the camshaft 4 so as to only press the fused overlapping portion of the band between a slide table and a hold-down portion and the slit 75 a regular rotation signal for supplying the band exteriorly of a packing machine after completing packing by fusing the band, receiving only one source of light from a photosensor 76.
