Abstract

PURPOSE:To change surely from the reproducing state of a reverse tracking to the reproducing state of a normal tracking by performing a capstan motor accelerating control by using a reverse detecting gate signal corrected the extent of a phase difference between a head switching signal and a reproducing control signal. CONSTITUTION:The device is equipped with a recording control signal duty converter 1, a reverse tracking reproducing (the state to operate the different track at the time of the recording and reproduction) discriminator 2, an accelerating pulse generator 3, and a capstan phase reverse detector 5. The detector 5 is constituted of a phase difference detector 51, a reverse detecting gate generator 52 and a comparator 53. Then the phase difference of the head switching signal and the reproducing control signal is detected by the detector 5, the reverse detecting gate signal corrected the extent of the phase difference of said both signals is formed. Command signal for stopping acceleration of the capstan is outputted based on this reverse gate signal and the reproducing control signal obtained after starting the capstan acceleration. By this method, the rotation is surely performed from the state of the reverse tracking to the state of the normal tracking.
