Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct miss tracking automatically to obtain a good-quality reproduced, by causing the scanning locus of the magnetic head for reproducing to agree with the recording track accurately for an environmental temperature change. CONSTITUTION:At the recording time, the vertical synchronizing signal is converted to a trapezoidal wave by 24 and is applied to phase comparing circuit 25 and recording circuit 32, and the output of circuit 32 is recorded as a control signal onto magnetic tape 6 through head 5, and the output of circuit 25 is supplied to electromagnetic brake 35, and rotor 36 is damped to control the rotation phase of rotary head drum 1. At the reproducing time, the control signal from head 5 is applied to delay circuit 30. The output of temperature detecting means 29 which detects the temperature of or around drum 1 is applied to circuit 30, and slippage of reproducing pulses of head 5 is corrected, and they are supplied to circuit 24. As a result, scanning locus 12 of magnetic heads 2a and 2b agrees with recording track 11, and thus, a complete reproduced output can be obtained.
