Abstract

PURPOSE:To safely obtain vegetable fats and oils within the region of normal temperature and low pressure with a high efficiency, by extracting the vegetable fats and oils from seeds using a mixed solvent consisting of propane, n-butane and CO2. CONSTITUTION:If a mixed solvent of propane and CO2 is used, vegetable fats and oils are extracted from seeds under condition of 10-80wt.% mixing ratio of propane, 5-300kg/cm<2> extraction pressure, 0-80 deg.C extraction temperature, 1-30kg/cm<2> separation pressure and 0-80 deg.C separation temperature. If a mixed solvent of n-butane and CO2 is used, extraction is carried out under condition of 10-80wt.% mixing ratio of the n-butane, 1-300kg/cm<2> extraction pressure, 0-80 deg.C extraction temperature, 1-7kg/cm<2> separation pressure and 0-80 deg.C separation pressure. If a mixed solvent of propane, n-butane and CO2 is used, extraction is carried out under condition of 10-80wt.% mixing ratio of the total propane and n-butane, 5-300kg/cm<2> extraction pressure, 0-80 deg.C extraction temperature, 1-7kg/cm<2> separation pressure and 0-80 deg.C separation temperature.
