Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an electrophotographic sensitive body sufficiently satisfying electrophotographic requirements, comparatively low in cost, and also superior in durability by incorporating at least one of specified compounds as an effective component in a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is provided on the conductive substrate with the photosensitive layer containing as the effective component containing the diethyl aromatic compound represented by formula I in which Ar<1> is an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or heterocyclic group, and A is an optionally substituted N-carbazolyl group or the like, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be excellent in photosensitive characteristics, high in strength against heat and mechanical impact, and yet producible at low cost.
